This modular wall panel system is based upon a distortion of a hexagonal grid in three directions. The design process involved studying the specific profiles that formed the hexagonal depressions for the qualities of depth and three dimensionality. The panels were fabricated using the 3 axis CNC router to cut an MDF buck which was then used as a form for vacuum forming plastic. Depending on their orientation the panels can create a spherical effect or a scaled surface effect.
